Liberty advises the management of Choice healthcare group, on the £152.5m transaction backed by iCON Infrastructure Partners

Leading supported living care provider Choice Care Group has been acquired by Infrastructure fund, iCON Infrastructure Partners, in a £152.5m transaction from Caledonia Investments, with the management team led by Chief Executive, Edwina Johnstone remaining with the business.

Choice, based in Bracknell, was established to provide learning disability support services for individuals who require a safe, supportive and therapeutic living environment to learn and self-develop. Choice provides services to clients with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and complex emotional and behavioural needs including autism in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey and Wiltshire.

In the last five years Choice has undergone a 32% increase in its residential capacity to 514 beds under Caledonia and has retained market leading compliance ratings with the Care Quality Commission.
